As a consequence of the coming into force of the aforementioned GDPR, on May 25th, 2018, the Data Controller deems it appropriate to confirm to the data subjects the principles and methods with which it uses them (the Processing) and the compliance to the principles that such Processing must respect, for their protection, in accordance with the provisions of the GDPR.
In compliance with the requirements of the GDPR, Acciaierie and Ferriere di Piombino S.p.A. only acquires the information (Personal Data or Data – see art. 4) necessary for the proper management of relations with the data subjects, with particular reference to compliance with legal / contractual / professional obligations that refer to those relationships. The data collected is processed in compliance with the principles set out in Article 5 of the GDPR (for summary – “… in a lawful manner, for specific purposes, appropriately relevant and limited, securely stored …”) and at the occurrence of the conditions indicated in Article 6 of the same GDPR. The Data is collected directly from the data subject when the collaboration relationship begins or is voluntarily given by the data subject to the addresses of Acciaierie and Ferriere di Piombino S.p.A (website, e-mail address, e-mail, etc.). In particular, the Data Controller, upon occurrence of one or more of the conditions provided for in Article 9 of the GDPR (in particular the provisions of paragraph 2 letters a, b and h – explicit consent, labor law, occupational medicine), may as well proceed to the Processing of the data referred to in the first paragraph (special categories of Data – health), in compliance with the principles listed above at article 5 and 6 of the GDPR.
Method of Processing
Data will be processed at Acciaierie e Ferriere di Piombino S.p.A’s headquarters. The Data is kept for the time that is strictly necessary to achieve the purposes for which it was collected for and/or to comply with the legal obligations (Data retention). Data processing is carried out exclusively for the correct management of the relationships undertaken with the data subjects and for the related obligations. Data processing may consist in the collection, recording, storage, modification, development, communication, deletion, dissemination and transfer of data and may be performed either with the use of paper, or electronically via computerized or telematic means, according to the procedures and tools which guarantee an adequate level of security and confidentiality of the data. They may be disclosed to entities outside of our organization (third parties) only to fulfill legal obligations or contractual commitments in which the data subject is involved, both for administrative and accounting, financial or commercial needs (provided that such communication does not compromise the fundamental rights and freedoms of the data subject). Always subject to these conditions, the Data may also be processed pursuant to and for the purposes of Article 49 of the GDPR.Data subjects may request at any time and without formality the list of third parties which have accessed the Data (such as data processors, data controllers or data protection officers).
Rights of the data subjects
With regard to the Data referred to above, we inform that if the data subject intends to exercise the rights that are recognized in accordance with the provisions of Chapter III of the GDPR(the Rights of the data subjects) , article 12 et seq – he/she/it may, without particular formalities and directly, in written form, contact the dedicated communication channels – e-mail address of the “Data Controller” privacy @ aferpi.com – or file a paper copy of the request, in plain paper, at the Central Concierge (Portineria Centrale) located in Piombino, Largo Caduti sul Lavoro nr. 21; in particular, the data subject will be allowed, among other rights, the right of access, of information, of rectification or cancellation, of portability, of opposition, of limitation to use.
